KL1, On the Way to a Digital Twin for Solid Bowl Centrifuges:  Advantages to Multiscale Modeling

Track:  Solid/Liquid Separation
Presentation:  Thursday, October 6, 10:15 am - 10:45 am

Dr. Marco Gleiß has studied Chemical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and subsequently became a doctoral student at the Institute of Mechanical Process Engineering and Mechanics (KIT), where he got his Dr.-Ing. and became Senior scientist. His research focus is on the field of solid-liquid separation, in particular on the digitization of filtration and centrifugation, the development of digital twins, and autonomous processes. In recent years, comprehensive simulation models and characterization methods have been developed that have found their way into industrial practice. This is documented in numerous publications in international journals.
